Our new season is here! Join us as we kick off this year with a special concert. Our famous pair of pianists returns home from touring across the country to bring us some of their best. This musical celebration of the Fall season has something for everyone. And it’s sure to make even the bravest shiver and shake. The evening features some of the greatest masterworks ever written for the “Dark Night,” including Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz, Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King, and Mussorgsky’s Baba Yaga - the Witch of the Great Forest. Since 1742, Handel’s Messiah has been the most performed musical piece in history. Join us for one of North Carolina’s best presentations of this magnificent masterwork this year. Featured are the TMA Orchestra and Chorus, with soloists Joel Vega, Heidi Kirschenheiter, Megan Potter, and Jason McKinney, with Sophia Pavlenko on the world-renowned Clara Capel Memorial Pipe Organ. Celebrate all the drama of God’s light entering the world and the salvation of all humanity set to some of the finest music ever written.

The Clara Capel Memorial Organ is the ultimate treasure here at the Trinity Music Academy. A truly world-class instrument, it is one of the finest pipe organs existing in the world today. Join organist Paul Chandley for a concert dedicated to the grandeur of this magnificent instrument. The evening features some of the most incredible masterworks ever written for the “King of Instruments,” including Bach’s Great Toccata and Fugue in A Minor and Widor’s spectacular Toccata for Organ. Sophia Pavlenko will join Paul to perform beautiful organ and piano duet arrangements of some of your favorite religious pieces on her Rachmaninoff Steinway piano. This is one evening you won’t want to miss!

Join us for this very special concert, featuring some of the greatest and most popular church music hits ever written. We have a spectacular evening planned featuring the singers of the Mid-Ohio Opera Company and the studio of North Carolina’s own John Fowler. Mr. Fowler has had a long and distinguished career that has carried him onto every major opera stage in the world. He is commonly considered to be one of the finest tenors that this country has ever produced. Joining him are the newest generation of stars from the Carolinas, including the incredible Jeff Gwaltney, Zach Hugo, Martha Anderson, Jemeesa Yarborough, Joel Vega, and Heidi Kirschenheiter. Everyone is reuniting here at TMA to perform with their favorite pianist, the incomparable Sophia Pavlenko. What a homecoming!
